IT'S RAINING MIRACLES
By Martha Miranda © 1992
Are you looking for a miracle?
Today will be your day
Are you praying for a miracle?
It's raining miracles today
And catch every raindrop that falls
Just turn your umbrella upside down
And let it fill to overflowing Are you needing a miracle?
JESUS is passing your way
Are you praying for a miracle?
It's raining miracles today Just turn your umbrella upside down
And catch every raindrop that falls
Just turn your umbrella upside down
And let it fill to overflowing Are you needing a miracle?
JESUS is passing your way
Are you praying for that miracle?
He's raining miracles today Are you looking for a miracle?
Today will be your day
Are you praying for that miracle?
He's raining miracles today
He's raining miracles today
BECAUSE I SAID SO
Because I said so, that is why
By Martha Miranda © 1992
In the house I grew up in
Mama was the boss
I didn't get by with anything at all
I more often felt the rod
Than all the others did
I was not allowed to question
Or ask why
Don't ask why, just do it
This is my house, don't ask why
Just trust me and do it
Because I said so, that's why
Because I said so, that's why
That's it, that's all, that's enough In the house I now live in
Jesus is the boss
I don't get by with anything at all
I more often feel the rod
Than all the others do
I keep on asking why Lord, tell me why Because I said so, that is why
Don't ask why, just do it
This is my house, don't ask why
Just trust me and do it
Because I said so, that's why
Because I said so, that's why
That's it, that's all, that's enough
MOUNTAIN MOVE OVER
See here, mountain
By Martha Miranda © 1992
Now ole' Goliath stood on a mountain
Little David said, Who is he?
How dare he defy the GOD of Israel
He don't look so big to me
You can't defy me
Who are you, anyway?
You'd better step aside
I'm goin' on over
Who are you, anyway?
You're goin' down a stone at a time
Makes no difference to me
Do you hear me, mountain,
Mountain, move over
I'm greater than you would ever be. . . . . Hey! Hey!
I'm greater than you would ever be Now ole' Goliath laughed at little David
With his sling and his stone
But David said, How dare you defy my Father's GOD
For this you shall die
See here, mountain You can't defy me
Who are you, anyway?
You'd better step aside
I'm goin' on over
Who are you, anyway?
You're goin' down a stone at a time
Makes no difference to me
Do you hear me, mountain,
Mountain, move over
I'm greater than you would ever be. . . . . Hey! Hey!
I'm greater than you would ever be
DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL
The LORD must be, O, so tired
By Martha Miranda © 1992
The LORD must be a little tired
Of all the songs of woe
Woe is me and woe is us
And woe is you and you
The LORD must be a little tired
Of give me this and give me that
And why didn't you, LORD?
And why did you, LORD?
And when will you do what I ask? Don't touch that dial
I'm not done with my song
Don't touch that dial
My song isn't long
How many times have you heard?
GOD so loved the world
How many times have you heard?
GOD gave His only Son
And how many times have you heard?
He who believes shall live
Just how many times have you heard?
He who believes not shall die
That's the last line of my song
He who believes not shall die
Maybe you've heard it for the last time
He who believes not shall die We always think we can undo
Everything we have done
And we always think we have a lot of time
To do those things we haven't done
The LORD must be, O, so tired
Of telling us to do this and that
And why didn't you ?
And why did you?
And when will you do what I ask? Don't touch that dial
I'm not done with my song
Don't touch that dial
My song isn't long
How many times have you heard?
GOD so loved the world
How many times have you heard?
GOD gave His only Son
And how many times have you heard?
He who believes shall live
Just how many times have you heard?
He who believes not shall die
That's the last line of my song
He who believes not shall die
Maybe you've heard it for the last time
He who believes not shall die
AREN'T YOU TIRED?
Cause you don't want to get up today and bear your cross
By Martha Miranda © 1992
Aren't you just tired of it all?
Aren't you just weary of it all?
Aren't you just plain sick and tired of it all?
Don't you wish it was all over?
Don't you wish it all would end?
Don't you wish the sun would set and never come up again?
LET SOMEBODY ELSE DO IT
You don't want to get up today and bear your load
LET SOMEBODY ELSE DO IT Aren't you tired of it all?
Aren't you weary of it all?
Aren't you just plain sick and tired of yourself
And everybody else? Cause you don't want to get up today and work in the field
LET SOMEBODY ELSE DO IT
You don't want to get up today and sweat in the vineyard
LET SOMEBODY ELSE DO IT Aren't you tired of it all?
Aren't you weary of it all?
Aren't you just plain sick and tired of yourself
And nobody else? You just want to get up and eat and drink
You don't want to work in the vineyard
You just want to stand idle in the market place
And yak your mouth all day Aren't you tired of it all?
Aren't you weary of it all?
Aren't you just plain sick and tired of yourself
And everybody else?
HEAR THE WIND
I fell in love with that man of Calvary
By Martha Miranda © 1992
I followed a man down the streets of Jerusalem
I saw Him stumble and fall
I watched as they nailed Him to a cross
I heard Him cry, I thirst
It is done
His Father is my Father, too
Listen to the wind
Listen to the rain
Listen to the birds
Praise His mighty name I went to the tomb early in the morning
The stone was rolled away from the door
The grave could not hold the Son of GOD
He arose from death to live forevermore I fell in love with that man of Calvary
His Father is my Father, too
Listen to the wind
Listen to the rain
Every knee shall bow
To His mighty name
Listen to the wind
Listen to the rain
Every knee shall bow
To His mighty name
CRAZY LADY
She's a crazy lady
By Martha Miranda © 1992
There was an old lady
Who lived down the street
Always was smilin'
At everyone she'd meet
She gave me a flower
And said JESUS died for me
But they said, stay away from her
Stay away from her
She hears all those voices
And says those crazy words
She's a crazy lady
She sees those funny things
Be afraid of her
She's a crazy, crazy lady Now one day I stopped by
To get my pretty flower
There was a golden wreath on her door
I went to the cemetery
To see where she was buried
And put a pretty flower on her grave
There were so many there
I couldn't even count them
Cryin' and a wailin' at her grave
Praisin' that name in whose flower she gave me
They all had flowers for that lady's grave There was an Angel standin' on that lady's grave
Now they call me crazy lady too
I'm seein' things and hearin' things
And sayin' funny words
I guess I'll just give out some flowers too! She's a crazy lady
Stay away from her
She hears all those voices
And says those crazy words
She's a crazy lady
She sees those funny things
Be afraid of her
She's a crazy, crazy lady
LIFE FLOWED DOWN
Before the world was made
By Martha Miranda © 1992
Before the world was made
Love flowed down from the heavens
And made it all
Every river and stream
Every mountain and hill
And hung every star in the sky so perfectly
And then GOD made man
Who right from the start
Failed so terribly
And death flowed down on me
Love flowed down from the Father
Through the Son
Every drop of blood that fell
Washed away the sins of man
So perfectly
GOD Himself bore us a Son
Who right from the start
Was formed in Deity
And life flowed down on me GOD Himself bore us a Son
Who right from the start
Was formed in Deity
And life flowed down on me
And life flowed down on me
ADJUST YOUR ATTITUDE
Adjust your attitude!
Martha Miranda © 1992
There aren't enough hours
In a man's whole lifetime
To gather up all the stones that he throws
There aren't enough days
In a thousand million years
To undo one single lie that's told
Adjust your attitude!
Think it through and when you do
You'll adjust your attitude! There aren't enough coffins
For all the little forms
That never even have a chance to breathe
There aren't enough hearts
In the whole wide world
To hold the tears that Baby JESUS grieves Adjust your attitude!
Adjust your attitude!
Think it through and when you do
You'll adjust your attitude! He's coming down
He's coming down
Think it through and when you do
You'll adjust your attitude!
