Excerpts Taken From It Is Finished

JESUS was crucified, was buried, and rose again from the dead to justify all men before GOD, all flesh before GOD, all those that believe and receive the finished work of justification that was wrought on the cross of Calvary by the man, JESUS CHRIST.

The question is, what was it that was finished upon the cross as the LORD JESUS CHRIST cried, “It is finished”?

Jn. 19:28 After this, JESUS knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. 29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. 30 When JESUS therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

JESUS, hanging upon the cross, dying upon the cross, declared, I have finished the work I was sent to do. I have accomplished the work. I have finished the work. It is finished!

It is a mystery, . . . .for in Rev. we read in 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of GOD should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. 8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. 9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. 10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. 11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

First, we must establish the work that JESUS finished. For we read in the scriptures that JESUS said I must go and prepare a place for you, and we also read, the Kingdom of GOD was prepared from the foundation of the world, already prepared, so therefore, what is it that JESUS went to do? and where did He go? and what was finished, exactly?

Jn. 14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Now, when the One to come, the one sent to judge comes, He is the One who declares the Kingdom that is, and was already prepared at the foundations of the world. This Kingdom was already prepared in love at the foundation of the world. JESUS says in Jn. 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

And we know from the scriptures that JESUS, the CHRIST, is and was the 2nd Adam, GOD loving man at the creation of the world, creating both male and female, and calling them one Adam, one creation, both male and female, the first Adam, formed from one flesh, GOD loving the first Adam, created in His image. GOD loves those created in His image. And this Lamb of GOD, this JESUS CHRIST, was the Word, formed in and by and through the Word, from the foundation of the world, the Word spoken in the beginning, Alpha, and the Word spoken in the ending, Omega, fulfilled and formed in flesh in the Manchild, the Judge, the One JESUS CHRIST said would come to judge the world by and in and through Him.

Rev. 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

So the work that was finished, was the completing or accomplishing of the fulfilling of all the scriptures concerning JESUS CHRIST and His life, and His death, and His finished work of salvation for all flesh, the way made, the atonement made for sin, the pathway made, for all flesh to inherit or return to that Kingdom of GOD that was prepared at the foundation of the world, and lost through the fall of Adam and Eve, through sin having entered into the world, and along with sin, death. So JESUS had to go to the cross and prepare the way to bring all flesh, and all the world, back to the FATHER in reconciliation, back into the Kingdom of GOD. JESUS did not go to prepare a Kingdom, but to prepare a way into that Kingdom that was already prepared for the redeemed. JESUS had to go even to prepare the way for his own Apostles, and His own mother, and the Gentile, and for all flesh, at that hour of His life, and finish that work, that preparation, that death, and that resurrection to life, that all flesh might come to the saving knowledge of the atonement of blood that was given at Calvary, for the sins of the world and the sins of all flesh. After Jesus Christ rose from the dead He did not say, It is finished, but said it is finished before He died, before He rose from the dead. It is finished was spoken before death, not after death, not after the resurrection. So it is finished was finished as Jesus Christ hung dying on the cross! The law was finished and grace and mercy, begun. No more slaughtering of animals for sin, no more sacrifices for sin, for the final sacrifice was made and fulfilled the law, completed the law, finished the law, and began the age of grace, truth, love, forgiveness, eternal life and immortality.

Had Jesus Christ not been raised from the grave, would it still be finished? Yes! Had Jesus Christ not been raised from the grave and slumbered yet, would it still be finished? Yes! So what was finished? exactly? Doctrine.......Doctrine was and is finished! Eternal life was finished! Had Christ not been raised from the dead at that time, but slept, to be raised in the great resurrection, all who believe upon His atoning blood would be saved, resurrected to life, given immortality, for it was finished, was finished and final even as Christ spoke those words from the cross. For we who believe in Christ Jesus and His atoning blood and death, do not believe because He was resurrected from the dead, but because He died for the sins of the world, our sins, the sins of all flesh, and His righteousness worketh in us who believe, resurrection or no resurrection, by the power of His Spirit and truth, bearing witness without fallibility of His atoning blood and cleansing work on Calvary for our sins, that we should not be damned but saved, and not live in death, but live in life, forevermore. His righteousness at work in us declares to us that, it is finished, and we live, forever, in Him. For we saw not the resurrection, yet we see His resurrected life living in us through righteousness.

Matt. 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: . . . . . . . . . . 41 Then shall he say also, unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

So JESUS did not go to prepare the Kingdom, for it was already prepared from the foundation of the world. In His going, in His death, in His departing the earth and life through the cross of Golgotha, He prepared the way, made the way, for all flesh to be forgiven transgression and sin, and have their sins washed away in the blood of His very flesh and body. We pray, daily, Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive all trespasses done against us. And deliver us from evil . . . . In the Kingdom of GOD to come, those who enter into it shall be healed, delivered, saved, be cloaked with immortality, changed, transformed, be clothed in a garment of white, all tears wiped away, even death being no more. That is that Kingdom that was prepared at the foundation of the world, no sin, no disease, no wrath, no sorrow, no pain, no tears, no suffering, no death! That is the Kingdom. That Kingdom was prepared in the beginning, and shall descend back down again unto men in the ending of the world. It is so written! And there is One to appear to open up that gate to that Kingdom, and to do judgment in the earth, gathering all nations before Him.

JESUS came, and His purpose in coming was to bear witness to the truth. . . . .and He faithfully finished that witness and testimony, and cried, It is finished. The parables and sayings of JESUS are prophecies to be fulfilled in the earth, many of them, and many are simply hidden sayings and parables, presenting spiritual truth. Yet, those parables and sayings that are prophecies, shall be fulfilled in the earth, down to every jot and tittle. All prophecies in the form of parables and sayings that JESUS spoke, can also be found in the prophets before Him and after Him. The ‘It is finished’ signifies that when all of His prophecies have come to pass, It is finished, is finished, and time is no more, and all those things that He has and had declared unto His prophets, shall come to pass and be finished, fulfilled, completed, perfectly and purely, bringing to a close this present evil age, transforming the earth from evil to good, from wickedness to righteousness, the wicked perishing, and the righteous being granted immortality and eternal life.

It Is Finished

O vine of life, O grafted vine
How grand thou thinkest thou art
Sitting on a pinnacle so high
A queen without a crown

O vine of life, so torn and diseased
With every manner of blight and blemish
Your fruits are rotten
Your blossoms decayed
And bitter, so bitter, inedible

O vine of life, O Gentile vine
So pleasing to thyself
Sitting so high . . . . .Flying so high
Standing so high on the mountains
Flying your banners of peace and safety
Luring the sick and the lame
Promising them life
Promising them healing
Promising them the world for a tithe

Severed from the root are ye
To be cast into the winepress of God
It was written of thee long, long ago
And stands now as a sword against thee

Come ye out! Come ye out!
Is the cry from heaven’s portals
Come out from the Babylonian Queen
Fear not her power
Fear not her fame
Fear not her multitudes
Given to the flame
Fear not her name
Fear not her acclaim

Fear her not! Fear her not!
Her power shall evaporate
With the rising of the Sun
For when the perfect is come
That which is imperfect is finished,
over, shut up, done!

FATHER, in the name of Jesus, and for His shed blood, we thank you. We thank you Father, for your mercy that was sent down in Jesus Christ, that we might come to know the fellowship and communion of the Holy Spirit and might come to know you, in all your glory and power and righteousness. We pray for your firstborn, Israel, and for her coming deliverer. We pray for the Manchild to grace the world once again with a visitation of perfect power and glory, and that your Kingdom might appear to men to save them, heal them, deliver them, and keep them, uniting the Gentile with Israel, till the coming of JESUS CHRIST, the One to forever seal your earth in power, glory and righteousness. Come Bright and Morning Star. Come O Holy Offspring of David. And, Come, Lord JESUS. Come! Amen.
