Chapter 5 CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHOME YE SHALL SERVE
When the Kingdom of God is to appear. . . . .there are severe and frightening messages to be sent to the churches. And the leaders, the apostles, the prophets, the pastors, evangelists and teachers, need to pay heed to these warnings out of the mouth of Jesus in Revelation.
To the churches, Jesus says . . . .Rev. 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. 6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. 7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Except a soul become holy in body, without immorality, he shall not eat of the tree of life. Those that allow sin to live again, to be kindled again through temptation, those that are seduced to sin through testing and trials, are dead while they live, forgetting they were purged from sin. And these have grown weary and these have ceased their works, because iniquity abounds and their love has grown cold, and they cry where is His coming? And they return to those things they were clean escaped from, and return to the lives that were forfeited, and they gain again their lives that they had beforehand given, having put their hands to the plow and looking back, turning back, becoming unfit, unprepared, and unworthy to receive the Kingdom of God. And even though some hate the deeds of immorality and do them not, and are holy within and without, these having ceased their works, sin against their own souls and shall not partake of the tree of life to come, the cloaking of immortality.
To the churches, Jesus says . . .Rev. 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, (or Christians), and are not, but are the synagogue of satan. 10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. 11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
There is a great Bride to rise up in the world, and she shall preach poverty and cleanlinesses of the body, soul and spirit, and she shall be filled with power, filled with tribulation, and filled with want, having overcome, knowing the blasphemy of the god of mammon, the great beast that eats coins, that promises prosperity and wealth and health and salvation, and the Bride is called to fear not the suffering that shall come upon her. And many shall be cast into prisons, whereas they shall be given crowns of life, in their faithfulness unto death.
To the churches, Jesus says . . .Rev. 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where satan dwelleth. 14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. 15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. 16 Repent; or else I will come upon thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Many churches are seats of satan. The only thing they proclaim is faith in Jesus Christ, and faith in His name alone. Yet they are filled with the blasphemy of the god of mammon, casting stumblingblocks in the paths of the children of the Lord, causing them to partake of evil sacrifices, sacrificing their lives, their coins, their substances, to the god of mammon, in hopes of promises of prosperity, wealth, health and life. These commit spiritual fornication and idolatrous adulteries of the spirit, these lovers of money and substances. And some of these have been seduced into allowing fornications and immoralities of the flesh to be acknowledged as doctrines of acceptances to a holy God, allowing unwed marriages to be as holy acceptances, and male on male as holy acceptances, and female on female as holy acceptances. The only doctrines these have is a name, the name of Jesus Christ. Yet, One comes in a new name. A new stone is being given, coming in a new name. For a reign shall end, and judgment begin.
To the churches, Jesus says . . . . .Rev. 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 and I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. 26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star.
The great harlot church, the church that belongs to the great god of mammon, shall be cast into great tribulation. They shall inherit all the plagues written in the books concerning her. Her works are great, the ending of them greater than her beginning. She has great faith. She has great patience. She has great love. And she has great service, great masses. But she has a prophetess that prophesies blasphemies, a prophetess that seduces her followers to feed the great golden image that has been set up, a prophetess that encourages spiritual fornications and carnal uncleannesses, a prophetess that names the name of Christ for tithes and gains. But God searches the heart, and shall judge every soul singularly, as to intent and purpose. She has a time of repentance, but even according to the scriptures, she shall not repent, and shall be cast into a great bed of tribulation, wrath, anger and fire. Come out of her that ye be not a partaker of her deeds and and that ye escape the plagues and judgments that are her appointments.
To the churches, Jesus says . . . . .Rev. 3:1 . . . . . . .I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast a few names which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Come out of the churches that are powerless. Come out of the churches that minister the Word in name only. Come out of the churches that have not the gifts of the Spirit given unto all believers. Come out of the churches that grieve the Holy Spirit and acknowledge Him not. Come out of the churches that blaspheme His name, and His works, and hold heaven powerless to heal, save and deliver, through their unbelief and unrighteous faith in His works. This sin is unforgiven and shall cause one’s name to be blotted out of the book of life. Even in all of this unbelief are those few righteous souls that have become worthy to remain written in the book of life through righteousness, having not blasphemed the Spirit but in their hearts believing in Him still, being grieved at the unbelief surrounding them, secretly and silently being filled with that Holy Spirit of promise, the Spirit of tongues, and many gifts of the Spirit, secretly leavening those that would hear, and that would receive their testimonies, with persecutions and resistings, remaining faithful to the pure doctrine they have received in the beginning.
To the churches, Jesus says . . . . . . . .Rev. 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of satan, which say they are Jews, (or Christians) and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
The new city of Jerusalem is not an earthly city, and does not sit upon the earth, nor is new Jerusalem the City of the Jews. The earthly City Jerusalem is the city of the Jews, but the heavenly City of Jerusalem is the City of the King, and comes down from heaven. It is not of this earth, but is from heaven, coming down through the Spirit into the world, forming itself all over the earth, and shall be called a Holy City unto God. All who enter into her through the gates, shall go no more out of her hallowed walls, but shall be kept in her, by her, from the hour of temptation and trials that shall come upon all the world. The name of God, and the name of the city of God, and the new name, shall be given unto her inhabitants, and they shall see Him and shall serve Him face to face. Every tear shall be wiped away, every pain, every sorrow, every sickness, every disease, and within her is the cloaking of immortality, and death itself is done away with, her inhabitants being given the crown of life, immortality, and they shall never see death, as written of this certain number.
To the churches, Jesus says . . . . . .Rev. 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
The great harlot church, so rich with the goods of this world, so filled with the wealth and powers of this carnal world, so filled with self-esteem, so full of power and pride of works, so full of clothings and adornments, and satins and silks, and so full of golden baubles and trinkets, and so clothed in jewels and rings and watches, and chariots of thunder, and even jets and planes to fly here and there in the comforts of the flesh, so rich and yet so wretched, miserable, poor and blind. These love to dance, love to jest, love to laugh, love to sing, love to make merry, love to eat, love to drink, seek to marry, love to labour gaining the wages of it, love to bear children, seek to own and gain all things in this life and world, calling it the abundant life, and the blessings of the Lord. All of these things do the unsaved seek after. These know not that they are naked of the truth, being blinded by the god of mammon, and being blinded by the glory of the flesh. These suffer not for righteousness sake, but have gained all the world and for what profit? There is no salvation in these things, nay, these things all the more blind the soul to its uncleannesses and necessities of continual daily repentance and dying to self. These say we have need of nothing, for we have all things. We have our teachers, and our prophets, and our pastors, and our evangelists and even apostles, and we are great in number and growing daily. And we have profited and been blessed to overflowing, pressed down and running over, with blessings.
What these do have are tricks, and illusions, and fantasies, and feigned words, and false prophets and apostles, making merchandise of the fearful and those who have need and lack. They know not they are naked, being not clothed with righteousness. Which one of us does not want bread on the table, and milk in the bottle for our children, and bedding and clothing, and which one of us does not want peace, and which one of us does not want to have a house, and land, and security in this life and world, and which one of us does not want to be well, and full of abounding health, and which one of us does not want to have our husband faithful, or wife faithful, or children saved, or mother and father and brothers and sisters brought into the Kingdom of God, or which one of us does not want security in employment and income and savings for hard times? All of these things, these anxieties of life, are what the god of mammon preys upon, helpless souls, wanting souls, needy souls, souls in pains unmeasured, to give a tithe to gain an answered prayer from an angry God who needs to be given gifts to appease His anger. God forbid we should be enslaved to such idolatrous practices of faith! God forbid that we should stray away from the pure faith in a loving, holy God, that simply says, Ask and ye shall receive!
There is a gaining of the life that Jesus warns over and over about. One gain is to return to the world, to turn away from the gospel that saves, to return to a life of sin and wickedness after having tasted of the pure word of salvation in Christ Jesus. That is one gaining of the life after having lost it to Christ, having been overcome by the desires of this life and world, not having become a new wineskin, not having gone into the purification of the flesh that saves the soul, that somewhere along the way, one becomes weary of the battle, tired of the pain, worn out by the resisting, and simply returns to the life that was forfeited. Jesus said, He who gains His life shall lose it and he who loses His life shall gain it. If you desire to gain eternal life, you must lose your life in this world, with all of its passions, lusts, corruptions and wants, kindled by desires of all that we see and hear.
Now, there is another gaining, and that is to gain the world through the god of mammon. The god of mammon says, Serve me and I will give you all things. I will give you the world if you will only serve me. You cannot serve both the god of mammon, and God. The god of mammon and God are enemies. They are not friends. They are not compatible. They are not agreeable. They are not of the same mind. One is the god of darkness, and one is the God of light. If one is enslaved to the god of mammon, so likewise is he enslaved to jestings, to frivolities, to sexual misconducts, to immoralities unmentionable, to surfeitings, to gluttonies, to false witnessing, to evil accusations, to unjust judgments, to unforgivenesses, to evil plottings, to works of deceit, to tormented mistrustings, to bouts of depressions, to episodes of unworthinesses, to fits of cryings, to hidden masterbations, to unseemly dreams, to foolishnesses, to intemperances, to adornments, to possessions, to fearfulnesses, and to jealousies with malice.
If one is enslaved to the god of mammon, so likewise is he fearful of death, fearful of aging, and fearful of the loss of strength and vigour and vitality, becoming consumed with the outward adornment and appearances of the flesh. Have no misunderstanding, satan cloaks himself with the word, and as an angel of light deceives those enslaved to the flesh, and this life, and this world.
The god of mammon calls you to an abundant life. God calls you to a righteous life. The god of mammon calls you to this present life. God calls you to an eternal life. The god of mammon calls you to be filled with abundances in this life with everything it has to give, pressed down and flowing over with the goods of this world. God calls you to count these things as unnecessary, needless, and without value. The God of mammon offers you all things visible. God offers you all things invisible.
God is a Spirit and all who know Him and possess Him, have the abundant life, with the hope of immortality, looking for the hundred-fold blessing promise that is to come in the next life. God will not share His throne with the god of mammon. Those who are deceived by rings and things, and songs and dancings, and laughters and joys, being more deceived by lying tears, shall not be those who inherit immortality of the flesh. They shall continue their lives till they die. Those of the City of God have no tears, they having been wiped away by the truth, the hope, the abundance of the Spirit that calls them out of the harlot into the rising Spirit of life, they being prepared in that great City of God to be of the number that shall not taste of death.
As they overcome, they eat of the tree of life. As they overcome, they are given the crown of life, and not hurt of the second death. As they overcome, they eat hidden manna, and are given a white stone, and a new name written thereon. As they overcome, they are given power over the nations, and they are given the morning star. As they overcome they are clothed in righteousness, and white raiment, and their names remain written in the book of life. As they overcome they are kept from the hour of tribulation that comes upon the whole earth to try the souls of all flesh. As they overcome, they become pillars in the temple of God, and go no more out, and to them is given the name of God, and the name of the City of God, new Jerusalem, and to them is given the new name of the Spirit of Christ, that name in which He shall appear, the name of the One sent to do judgment in His name. As they overcome, they are sit down in the throne of righteous judgment in the earth. Pillars of fire are they, they having been baptized from heaven with the power of the truth, being filled with understanding, being filled with knowledge, righteousness being their power of defense, righteousness being their power of offense, and righteousness being their power of judgment. And these shall run with the Big White Horse, making war in the earth in righteousness.
And you would trade all of these things to be comforted in this life by the god of mammon? to be comforted by a lying god who promises you a hundred-fold blessing with every coin? to be comforted by a perishing god who shall himself be cast into the lake of fire? to be comforted by a harlot church that shall herself be brought down to the dust in but one hour? to be comforted by a god that promises you peace and safety? to be comforted by a god who promises you no judgment? This same god that nailed Christ Jesus to the tree, this very same greedy, evil, wicked, deceitful, beguiling, unclean, murdering and whorish spirit that slayed Him, cloaks himself not with the words of Christ that would condemn him, but he cloaks himself with the words of all those that came before Christ who Christ Jesus Himself called thieves and robbers. The god of mammon comes in his own power, in his own strength, and in his own name.
I have the hundred fold blessing promised to the overcomers, and if I die where I sit, at this moment, I die in it, and shall receive it on that day. And that day is the last day, in the which that Jesus Christ said He would raise up all those who are His, in the last day, not in a day that shall therefore bring in another thousand years or more, and a seven years or more or less, and then an undetermined period of time, but at the last day. It is at the last day that the gathering up takes place, the last day. I told you, the god of mammon is not cloaked in the words of Christ, but the god of mammon is cloaked only in the name of Christ. It is in the words of Christ that life is found, the abundant life, the hundred fold blessing life, eternal life, and immortality. The god of mammon has doctrines that contradict every word, every parable, every prophecy, every saying, and every truth of Jesus Christ.
It is not in the reigning of His name, or in the name of Christ alone that power is found, which name and which reign shall come to a close and is closing upon this present world, but power is found in the life of Christ, in the words of Christ, in the doctrine of Christ, and a new name is being given, and this new name comes in the power of the gospel, in the power of the words of Christ, and in the power of the resurrection of Christ. It is that resurrection power that shall bear witness to the new name and to the powers that abide in the City of God, and to all the things that are written in Revelation. For the power abides with the Father who is greater than the Son. The Son does not sit above the Father, but the Father is greater than all, and sits in His throne, bearing Sons into this world that He might be seen by all flesh, face to face. In Christ Jesus the Father appeared as Saviour. In the Man-child, the Father appears as the Judge. He shall not be slain but shall do the slaying, and the receiving of all of those into the City of God who enter in through her gates of righteousness. There they shall meet the power face to face, and it shall dwell amongst men once again, and shall be perfect. Then shall all the imperfect fall away and be manifested.
The god of mammon has his power in coins and in wealth and in riches, and when that structure falls, and that flow of coins diminishes and then ceases, that structure shall fall with a mighty falling upon all those who are dwelling within it, and they shall have travail, and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. But the power of the City of God stands in the power of life, in the power of the resurrection from the dead. There is no god formed that can stand in the path of the power of the resurrection and survive.
For Jesus said, When the winds of the Spirit blow, and the waters of Revelation rise, the house shall fall, and great shall be the fall of it.
Matt. 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
