Chapter 7 Examining The Fire

There are many strange happenings in the churches today, all over the world, and confusion as a storm of darkness seems to be engulfing the believers. One such occurrence is what is called, “holy laughter.” Jesus Himself continually said, Beware the leaven of the scribes and Pharisees. And one of these things to beware of is spoken of by Jesus Christ. Matt. 16:1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. . . . .4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign. . .Jesus said . .Mark 8:11 And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him. 12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. In this matter of “holy laughter”, we have no other source of truth than the scriptures, the words of Jesus Christ Himself, and if we cannot find scriptural evidence of the manifestations that are being seen, we must determine in ourselves that these are not holy manifestations of the Spirit of God. For one of the criteria that is used to accept these things by today’s scribes and Pharisees, these ‘out of control’ happenings, freely, is that they make the receivers love the Lord Jesus Christ the more, and love others the more, and thereby they must be of God.

Anyone that has been seduced and deceived by a lover in the flesh, either a deceiving wife or a deceiving husband, or even a friend, knows all too well that gifts always cause the one that receives the gift to love, and to be in love, and to remain in love, and to become a slave to that gift and the gift giver, even so much so as to overlook continual sin and transgression, fearful of judging wrongly, because of the gifts and the overwhelming acts of giving of gifts and even giving of self. For the world deems gifts as love. And so it is not a scriptural test of whether something is of God or not, if it causes one to love God, and to love others. For the scriptures are very, very plain on the treatise of love, and just what love is. 1st Cor. 13:4 Charity (love) suffereth long, and is kind: charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

And whom God loves, He salts with fire, and with scourging, and with discipline, and with chastening, and oft-times, even with judgment, as written, that He will not have to damn His children with the world. 1st Cor. 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. Here the Apostle Paul states that God will afflict, and yes, with pain, and sickness, and even unto death will God afflict, to work repentance. And scourging is grievous, and discipline is painful, and judgment brings sorrows and mournings. These things come from God, and they do not bring laughter and rejoicing. The salting with fire is scourging.

Heb. 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. . . . . . . .11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. 12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. Lest that which is lame be turned out of the way, it says. . . .I have seen many, many, let the chastening and scourging of the Lord turn them from the way, rather than changing, rather than repenting, rather than humbling themselves before God and accepting the work God was working in them. They turned away, and turned back, and have forsaken their works, and their callings, and have turned aside after the shelters of the world and the arms of flesh. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees. . . . . . .it is written.

And God’s rebukes and scourgings make the hands feeble, and make the body weak, and causes the knees to buckle and have to strive to hold up the body, and makes the head seem to explode with torments, and the heart and mind and soul and body even, drag from morning till night and then again in the morning till night, around and around in circles it goes, the rebukings making the body unwilling to labour one more day in the Kingdom of God and righteousness. The body says, I’ve had enough. I can’t go on. I won’t go on. I can’t give up one more thing, sacrifice one more thing. It says, I will not be pruned one more time. You don’t love me, God! You’ve given me more than I can bear. And many, many turn back, and become unfit to receive salvation, and they take unto themselves all they had given, and then add unto themselves more and more and more, becoming entangled in the world and all of its passions, desires, lusts, wants, and possessions. And so the churches have sought to bring into the Kingdom of God, the world, with all of its trinkets and baubles and splendours and laughter’s and clowns and puppets and songs and dances and partyings and banquetings and attires and riches.

The world probably marvels at the children of God rolling on the floor and jerking all over and laughing uncontrollably, while the dead are being buried unnoticed all over the earth, great crevices of the dead, truckloads of the dead. And the world probably marvels at the homeless freezing on the streets and in the alleys and dying there, frozen to the ground, while the churches are rolling in the isles with laughter’s. And the world probably wonders how even God can be so happy when hundreds of thousands of children are starving and dying every single day of the year. And the world probably calls these possessed of the devil, and calls these filled with evil spirits, and calls these wonders things to be shunned and feared.

And my mind is drawn to particular scriptures that say . . . . .Rev. 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil, and satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. . . . . . . .12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. And so, seeing as the devil and his angels have been cast into the earth, are they not busy at war with the saints of God? overthrowing them? overcoming them? polluting them? filling them with all manners of worldliness’ and wantonnesses?

For did not Jesus Himself warn believers? . . . . . .Matt. 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. This parable, spoken of by Jesus, He being the first witness, prophesies of the unclean spirit, the devil being cast out of the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom having been taken away from Israel, and given unto the Gentile, and the beginning was pure, was clean, was sanctified, being founded on the blood of Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost, founded on the blood of martyrs slain, and in the last generation, when the devil was let loose from his prisonhouse, he went and found the church but garnished, empty of obedience, empty of righteousness, and he takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than he himself, and they enter in and dwell there, in the Gentile churches, and the last state of the Gentiles is worse than the first state of the Gentile, and in the first state of the Gentile, they were lost, damned, separated from God, and so, dearly beloved, what is that last state of the Gentiles? And Jesus Christ, being the second witness, being faithful and true, speaks again of these spirits, revealing the identities of these spirits. Rev. 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. . . . . . 8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition. . . .11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

Rev. 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. If we look at Israel, and the generation that crucified Christ, we shall discover and uncover the seven other wicked spirits that have entered into the churches, and if we look into the gospels, we shall see clearly these spirits, as they opposed the doctrines of Christ Jesus at that time, they opposing the doctrines of Christ Jesus now, though they call themselves of Him and by His name, even calling Him LORD.

Now, if we look at these seven more wicked spirits than the devil himself, and we know that Jesus Himself said the devil was a liar and a murderer from the beginning, satan, the devil, has entered into the churches, and shall cause the believers to become murderers and liars, just like Israel became a murderer and a liar against Jesus Christ. Now, he, the devil, satan, is the unclean one who was cast from the truth, and cast out of the Word of God, and was judged on Golgotha. Yet, he has been loosed from his prisonhouse and gone forth to deceive the nations, and to test and try all flesh. And his first target was the churches of Jesus Christ. And so we see Christians, saying, the LORD tells them to murder and to slay. We see Christian mothers saying, God told me to kill my child, told me to kill my children. We see Christians gunning down abortion doctors, and those who work in abortion clinics, saying God told them to do these things. Yet Jesus said . . . . .satan is a murderer and a liar! John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

We see Christians, saying, the LORD tells them to riot in the daytime. We see Christians, speaking evil of those God has Himself put in rulership, and speaking curses against government officials, and against the rulers of the people. We first saw Christians saying, I will not go to war, saying, I will not fight oppression, or evil, or lay down my life for a friend. We see Christians saying eat not, and handle not. And we see Christians forbidding to marry. We see every manner of unclean spirit at work in the churches. We see immoral apparels. We see costly array. We see painted faces. We see long hair on men, whereas the scriptures declare, does not even nature itself teach you it is a shame for a man to have long hair? And this thing we see. . .an abomination set up in the temple of God . . . .the children of God dancing around a golden calf! For the god of mammon, slain on Golgotha with a deadly wound, has revived, and come alive and again has enslaved the children of God, the same god of this world that crucified Christ, the god of mammon, saying, if you will serve me, I will give you the world and all that it contains. And this god is busy in the trafficking of souls, an abomination, for the offering of coins, for the offerings of gold, saying, I will prosper you, heal you, save you, give you every earthly thing, save your marriage, and give salvation to your household. If you give to prosper the gospel, these profiteers promise God will even anoint you and give you a new anointing, one that breaks every yoke and bondage.

Now Jesus speaks of the Kingdom of God being hidden, and in this wise is it hidden in the last generation of the world, in the field, in the bread, like leaven, hidden like precious pearls, in the earth, hidden. And this Kingdom, the pure Kingdom, shall break out like wild fires everywhere, all over the earth, it being hidden in the earth everywhere, like salt, and suddenly shall the Spirit of the Living God, anoint this Kingdom and it shall burst forth as flames of fire, consuming the rubble, and the lies, and the false doctrines, and exposing all the hypocrites, and all the false apostles and prophets and teachers that have made the gospel of Christ Jesus a gospel of merchandise.

Now the falling down in the Spirit, the slaying in the Spirit, is scriptural and we read concerning this phenomena. John 18:1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples. 2 And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples. 3 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. 4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? 5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. 6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

There is not one devil in all of a thousand hells that will not say, Jesus is the Son of God. All the devils that came across the path of Jesus knew exactly who He was. And the gifts of the Holy Spirit are written in the scriptures, one of them being, the discerning of spirits. Acts 16:16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: 17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. 18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

The Apostle Paul said, 1st Cor. 12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. . . . . . . .7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues; 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. It is written, the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. Manifestations of the Holy Spirit are for good, for building righteousness, for casting down the works of the devil and for exalting Christ Jesus, for building the Kingdom of God and for purification of the body of Christ, the churches, and are for the healing of the body, soul and spirit. Rom. 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Rom. 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. And it is written concerning the Holy Spirit . . . . . .Gal. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. The Holy Spirit is a Spirit of control, of self-control, and is peaceable. 1st Cor. 14:23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? . . .26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. . . . . .32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 40 Let all things be done decently and in order. 1st John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

God is not a God of confusion, nor turmoil, nor a God who is out of control, shaming His own self. God is not out to shame His own people, to make them a mockery, or a laughing spectacle in the world. There is one who is about the business of shaming the children of the Lord. There is one who is about the business of causing the world to mock the children of God, and laugh at them, and call them foolish and mad, and crazy. There is one who loves to mock and curse the scriptures, and to cause the children of God to be foolish and out of control, and make them cry babies and weak-kneed. How far will this grand delusion spread like a plague before the servants of God wake up from their spiritual sleep to see that not all things are of the truth? Animal sounds coming from human beings? . . .only when God turns them over to such things. This grand delusion shall endure until as written . . . . .Rev. 17:17 For God hath put it in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. And when shall these things be and the Word of God be fulfilled? Rev. 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron . . . . . .Isa. 11:6 . . . .and a little child shall lead them.

Eccl. 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: . . . . . . . .4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. . . .And when judgments are in the earth, famines, deaths, earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, mass murderings, mass slayings, rapings, molestings, beatings, massacres, all manners of evils flooding the earth daily, growing even hourly, hatred on the left hand and violence on the right, is it truly a time for laughter? and revelry? and dancing? and singing? and partying? and rejoicing? Ought we not to be in sackcloth as faithful prophets of the Lord Jesus Christ? Ought we not to be crying out for the sins and iniquities of the people? Ought we not to be standing in the gap for those who are perishing by the thousands every day? Ought we not to be taking our banqueting funds and without a bite entering into our own lascivious mouths, give food to the hungry? and clothe the naked? and house the poor? and tend to the sick and dying? How is it one has time for laughter when there are so many to cry with and for? How is it that God would be laughing when such wickedness’ are crushing the earth? It is not God that is laughing.

For when the truths of the hour are known, the houses of God will enter into mournings, and put upon themselves garments of sackcloth, and when the truths are poured out into the world as a mighty running river, and the fires of truth are kindled and set aflame in every house of God, the laughter will be swept away, as a rushing of wailing and gnashing of teeth enters into every assembly of believers as judgments fall, and as the houses of God come face to face with their God, those who have perpetrated these doctrines and those who have with feigned words made merchandise of the holy blood of Christ, shall have to give account for every penny received, and every penny spent.

How many lost souls do you suppose are wrapped up in one great hanging crystal chandelier? And how many souls would you suppose are lost for the cost of one marble table? And how many souls would you suppose could have had a cup of soup for one sparkling velvet jacket? And how many, do you suppose, could have a piece of bread and just a cup of water from but one of the rings that circles the fingers of the servants of God?

Be not deceived, beloved brethren, you who love the truth, the truth is in the world, and as a thief shall explode with spiritual violence’s and fires of truth, and the truth made clear as crystal, because in the ending of the world there are still pure wheat! Rev. 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. . . . . . . . . . 1st Cor. 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Rev. 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. . . . .Rev. 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. Holy brethren, it is after these things have been accomplished in the earth, that the Lord Jesus Christ says, Rev. 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Holy brethren, dearly beloved brethren, understand what the Spirit says to the churches. . . .There is a prophecy to be written, a prophecy on the book of Revelation, and blessed are they to whom it is given, and blessed are they who see, and blessed are they who hear, and blessed are they who understand, and blessed are the keepers of the prophecy of this book, this book of Revelation. Blessed are the receivers of this prophecy . . . .Rev. 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. . . . .5 And she brought forth a man child . . . .This One shall come and shall bring into the world, the Kingdom of God, full of power, full of glory, full of deliverance, and full of immortality, the Angel sent into the world, to testify and unveil Revelation to the world, the Bright and Morning Star, the Offspring and the Root of David. It is after this One appears in the world and finishes His testimony, that it is written, Rev. 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. I tell you, beloved brethren, that the City of God, the Kingdom of God, is coming down to this earth, and in it shall be the Heir, the Judge, and the Offspring, coming in a new name, and coming in the power of judgment. And what a fire He shall kindle and flame!
